Title
Tender for first floor library fit-out at Chipping Barnet Library
Description
The London Borough of Barnet (LBB) is upgrading the first floor of Chipping Barnet Library following a successful bid to the DCMS Libraries Improvement Fund.

Chipping Barnet is the largest and busiest of the borough’s 14 libraries. It is open seven days a week for a total of 92 hours and has an annual footfall of circa 137,828. The first floor operates as a quiet, study space as well as housing the library’s collection of non-fiction materials. However, demand for space currently outstrips supply, and facilities, fixtures and fittings are inadequate to meet need. The current project seeks to redesign the first floor (including all shelving), increasing seating capacity and providing modern study furniture equipped with integrated power and USB charging points. LBB is also seeking accreditation for the site as a Dementia Friendly Venue.
