The London Borough of Barnet is holding an online market engagement event on Wednesday 06th April 11:00am -12:30pm. This is to support the commissioning and procurement of Advocacy Services on behalf of the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. Service types to be discussed include:
- Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA)
- Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA)
- Care Act Advocacy (CAA)
- Independent Health Complaints Advocacy (IHCA)
Each of these services act as key components of Council priorities; ensuring compliance with statutory duties as set out within the:
- Mental Health Act
- The Mental Capacity Act, including the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
- The Care Act
- S185 of the Health and Social Care Act 2012
We welcome providers of advocacy services to attend this event which will provide: -
- An overview of each service being commissioned
- An opportunity for you to help shape the service specifications in development
- What can we do differently to improve outcomes for residents using these services?
- How can we strengthen advocacy support for residents through the delivery of these services to maximise people’s independence and wellbeing?
- Timescales for new contracts

We will then be able to issue you a calendar invite with the dial-in details for the event.

The event will be held via Microsoft Teams. If you are not able to access Microsoft Teams, please let us know in your email response so that we can advise appropriate access.
