Title
Market Engagement Event for Targeted HIV Prevention Service
Description
The London Borough of Barnet is holding an online market engagement event on Wednesday 16th December 2020 at 1.00-2.30pm. This is to support the commissioning and procurement of the BAME Targeted Community HIV Prevention service. We welcome providers of specialised STIs/HIV prevention services to attend this event.
Barnet Council is seeking to procure a targeted STI & HIV community prevention service for its diverse population, with particular focus on the following Barnet residents:
• BAME Adult Communities (over 18’s) in Barnet. Attention will be given to Black African, Caribbean and Latin American and/or Romanian communities
• BAME men who have sex with men (MSM)
• BAME LGBTQ
• Other communities in Barnet who may not be accessing services and support due to language barriers.
The Market Engagement Event will provide:
• An overview of the service being commissioned
• An opportunity for you to help shape the service specification in development, including discussion of:
o What can we do differently to improve outcomes for residents using these services?
o How can we strengthen preventative support for residents through the delivery of this contract to maximise people’s awareness about the dangers of HIV and how they can access services?
• Timescales for the procurement and the new contract
To register your attendance, please register your organisation on www.barnetsourcing.co.uk and send an email with the names of attendees. We will then be able to issue you a calendar invite with the dial-in details for the event.
The event will be held via Microsoft Teams. If you are not able to access Microsoft Teams, please let us know in your email response so that we can advise appropriate access.
We look forward to speaking with you on the day.
