1314-148 Internal Audit Services – provider information day
Description
Please not that this is an invitation to an open provider information day only; it is not a contract notice. If you wish to be considered for any future contract for these services you will need to register your interest by following the instructions given in the formal contract notice.
Internal Audit Services
Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield, Harrow and Lambeth councils are working together to jointly procure framework agreements to deliver their internal audit, anti-fraud and risk management services.
The boroughs are planning to let a framework agreement that will allow each of them and other local authorities in London, to access the services of the successful contractors, with the potential to open the framework up to other named authorities in the south east of England.
The framework agreement may be split into lots, and will include the following:
• Compliance audits – this will mainly comprise basic audits such as those in schools, tenancy management organisations and similar work, ensuring that processes have been followed to manage key risks.
• Core audit services, anti-fraud, risk management and other specialist support – this will supplement our various in house staff to deliver our respective plans, and will include specialist audit work, for example on our ICT systems.
We are looking for innovative solutions to providing internal audit, anti-fraud and risk management services in the future against a backdrop of reduced government funding. We are interested in hearing from providers who can work collaboratively with us, and with other small or medium sized providers, to deliver a resilient model over the short to medium term.
We will be holding a provider day on 18th October 2013. This will cover in more detail what we hope to achieve from these framework agreements, and the procurement process that prospective contractors will need to follow. We will seek during this session to explore innovative strategic visions for delivery of the audit service across these authorities.
The intention is that the contract will come into effect on 1 April 2014 and will run for four years.
So that we can arrange facilities, please register your interest to attend on the day by email to procurement@islington.gov.uk
Information on the format of the day will be available closer to the time. If you have any questions regarding the day please contact Michael.bradley@camden.gov.uk
